There has to be a solution to this problem and/or options to customize it for accessabillty for all users of this software. It slows me down because I have trouble with this color. It would be nice if someone from Microsoft can please assist with this issue. This has to be a clue as to why this will work.

The only instance I saw change is when I had a machine at work that already had Office 2010 installed, with those fixes so it had the black selection background and a new Office 2016 install seemed to inherit the changes to use the black selection background.
